Superchic[k] -Beauty from Pain-

Review by Sara

Artist: Superchic[k]
Album: Beauty from Pain

I think that when it comes to music, lyrics are so much more important than beat. However, when it comes to Superchic[k]'s album "Beauty from Pain (1.1)" I find both.

Combined with a unique and invigorating beat, "Beauty from Pain" is aimed at supporting standing up for God and morals no matter what the price or what the suffering. It encourages girl to be pure and also not to give into what today's world thinks a girl should be.

Each song on the CD features a positive message. "Anthem" encourages girls in not giving up or giving in. "Pure", of course, encourages purity and reminds girls of a "new day in the light" without mistakes in it to stand up against temptations.

"We Live" is one of my favorites as it highlights the fact that we are living now and that it is our jobs to make this shot at life count right now to its fullest potential.

"One Girl Revolution" is a classic song with a classic title! Girls, who cares if no one stands up with us! We are going to be a one girl revolution for our own soul's sake and for God's! In doing so we may become a 10 or even a 100 girl revolution as we become a source of courage for others! Another one of my favorites!

"Stand in the Rain" tells the story of a soul gaining courage and finally "standing in the rain" through the rains of persecution and in knowing that one day "what’s lost shall be found" in heaven.

"Courage" has a touching meaning as it gives a true testimony of one of the singers themselves. The song tells of her own experience as the victim of one of many lies of what a girl should be or look like. The song is a sad one in that many girls today face the same lies and the same struggles with them. May this song be an encouragement to them.

Lastly, "Beauty from Pain", after which the album in named, also has a powerful meaning. It shows how God is always in control and that sometimes lets us suffer for a reason--to make us stronger and test our faith. As the result of this suffering we arise "gold purified through this flame" and fruits are borne as the strength, knowledge, and purification is drawn from the experience.

These along with many other songs on this CD are very impacting if listened to them with the ears of our hearts. ; )

Possessing style, great lyrics, and a cool beat, this album deserves a high rating. It has the invigorating tune that makes us want to start our "one girl revolution" and the meaning to show the graces and purification of suffering...thus in the graces and purification we see that suffering is in fact healthy and that there is indeed "Beauty from Pain".
